Cine Casual is dedicated to uplifting Latin American art and stories through film.

Since 2020, we’ve organized Charlotte’s Latin American film series, connecting the city’s growing Latino population with high-quality programming that celebrates our cultures, fosters cross-cultural understanding, and creates a sense of belonging.

After years of successful programming and meaningful partnerships, and with overwhelming support, our film series has evolved into the Charlotte Latino Film Festival, celebrating its inaugural edition from April 4–14, 2024.

Much more than a movie night

Each film screening is thoughtfully paired with a pre- or post-film experience, such as panel discussions with local leaders, Q&As with the movie’s talent, or dance and musical performances inspired by the film’s themes. When you attend our events, you don’t just watch a movie—you engage with the community, discover Latino artists, and support small businesses.
